John Scott has dedicated his 31-year career to helping find solutions for people affected by multiple sclerosis. He began with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in 1987 in Minnesota coordinating fundraising events. He helped launch the event that is now the Walk MS, a $45M annual event taking place in more than 450 communities across the United States.
He served as the director of development, executive vice president and president for the chapter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While there, annual income increased fivefold; to more than $11.0 million. John has experience in special events, individual giving, professional development and coaching, strategic and operational planning, and building high performing teams. As a member of the executive leadership team, John helped lead the organizational change to one unified operational and staffing structure.
In addition to his work with the National MS Society, John has conducted training for a variety of non-profits in strategic and organizational development and operational planning.
